Adani Enterprises Limited, commonly known as Adani Enterprises or AEL, is an Indian publicly listed holding company and the flagship business platform of the Adani Group. Headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, it was incorporated in 1993 as Adani Exports Limited and developed from a commodities-trading operation into a diversified enterprise involved in natural resources, logistics, infrastructure and new industrial technologies. The company’s historical core has been the trading, mining and integrated management of coal and other natural resources. Adani Enterprises was incorporated in 1993 as Adani Exports Limited. Its early business was based on commodities trading, particularly the movement and management of resources linked to India’s expanding industrial and power sectors. The company later became a principal vehicle for the Adani Group’s integrated resources-management activities, including coal trading, mining, logistics and power-related trading. AEL also established Adani New Industries for green hydrogen and related equipment, while Adani Solar expanded the group’s solar-cell and module manufacturing capabilities. Kutch Copper was created to develop copper cathode and copper-rod manufacturing. AdaniConneX, a joint venture with EdgeConneX, was established to build hyperscale data centres in India.
