The company was founded in 1972 by founding partners including Alan Storey in Bletchley, England, and describes more than 50 years of weighing know-how. Adam Equipment was founded in 1972 by founding partners, including Alan Storey, in Bletchley, England. In 1975 the company moved to Milton Keynes, UK, and in 1984 it moved to larger owner-occupied premises in Milton Keynes. In 1985 it manufactured a new mechanical design of a scale for the cotton industry in Tanzania, and in 1988 it manufactured a medical scale and exhibited at an event. The company describes itself as having grown from a small, family business to a global company with more than 50 years of experience supplying, designing and manufacturing precision scales and balances. Its distribution channel is maintained by wholly owned facilities strategically located in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Australia, providing technical, warehouse, sales and marketing assistance to customers. Adam Equipment is an ISO 9001 manufacturer with research and development based in the UK head office.
