Buji sues ActionCOACH franchise operators over royalties and competition

Buji Inc., ActionCOACH's Wisconsin master license holder, sued the owners of the Elm Grove-Brookfield franchise. The complaint alleges that they underreported revenue and royalties and violated a non-competition agreement; it seeks to block Strategic Business Center from operating for two years. It also alleges the Palzewiczs broke a contractual non-competition agreement when ActionCOACH Elm Grove rebranded in May 2019 without corporate approval, months before the franchise agreement was set to terminate on September 30.
The complaint filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for Eastern Wisconsin accuses partners Thomas and James Palzewicz of “ignoring their contractual commitments” since 2015.
