Acotaciones

Acotaciones is a Spanish biannual academic journal dedicated to theatre research and theatrical creation. It has been published since 1998 by the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (RESAD) and Editorial Fundamentos. The journal's title comes from the theatrical term 'acotación', which refers to the stage directions or suggestions an author gives to the director and actors to guide the interpretation of a specific passage of a play, indicating the attitude a performer should adopt or the movement of actors on stage. The journal was promoted by Ricardo Doménech, then professor of Dramaturgy at RESAD. Among its directors are Pedro Víllora and, since 2011, Fernando Doménech.
