Acony Records

Acony Records is a record label founded by Gillian Welch. Its official website describes it as the home of Gillian Welch and David Rawlings and links visitors to the official Acony Records online store. The site lists a Nashville, Tennessee mailing address. The supplied sources do not establish the label’s founding year, ownership structure, wider artist roster, or geographic distribution, so those details are not specified here.

Acony Records is identified in the supplied sources as a record label founded by Gillian Welch. The available material does not give a founding date or describe the circumstances of its formation, so the label’s early history cannot be dated more precisely from this evidence. Its official website presents Acony Records as the home of Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, establishing the central association reflected in the label’s public identity. The site also directs visitors to an official online store, indicating that it offers a direct online channel for its label-related offerings. The official homepage gives a mailing address in Nashville, Tennessee. This documents a Nashville contact address, but does not independently establish a separate corporate headquarters, production location, or the geographic extent of the label’s operations. The supplied sources also do not provide information about its ownership beyond the statement that it was founded by Gillian Welch, nor do they identify a parent company, additional executives, a wider roster, or a dated sequence of releases and business developments. The official website carries a 2025 copyright notice. This is evidence that the site presents itself as current through that notice, but it does not establish specific label activity during 2025. Accordingly, the history recorded here is limited to the label’s documented identity, its association with Welch and Rawlings, its online store, and its Nashville mailing address.
