ACE Brand

ACE™ Brand is a 3M trademark offering elastic bandages, wraps, tapes and supports. Its name, standing for All Cotton Elastic, was chosen in 1918 after a nationwide contest. The brand's product range covers ankle and foot, back, cold/hot therapy, elastic bandages, elbow and arm, knee and calf, tapes, wraps and gear, and wrist, hand and thumb categories, and its products are available at major retailers nationwide.

The name ACE™—which stood for All Cotton Elastic—was chosen in 1918 after a nationwide contest was held that offered physicians a chance to win $200 for coming up with the best name for the new bandage. In 2018, the brand marked 100 years, noting that for the last 100 years families have grown up with an ACE™ Brand bandage, and created a commemorative tin can reflecting back on the beginnings of the ACE™ Bandage and some of the first packaging designs.
