A.C. Davie Shipyard

A.C. Davie Shipyard is a national historic site in Lévis, Quebec. The site features exhibitions and historic buildings that tell the story of one of the most important shipyards in Quebec and the Davie family. The shipyard's history spans from 1829 to 1989. It was designated a national historic site by Parks Canada in 1990 and acquired by the City of Lévis in 1994, which remains the owner. Since 2003, it has operated as a seasonal municipal interpretation centre.

The A.C. Davie shipyard, whose history spans from 1829 to 1989, is closely linked to the development of the city of Lévis. Initially specialized in ship repair, it diversified its activities to include salvage operations and shipbuilding. In 1990, the site was designated a national historic site by Parks Canada and became the A.C. Davie Shipyard National Historic Site. The City of Lévis acquired the site in 1994 and remains the owner to this day. Since 2003, this seasonal municipal interpretation centre has welcomed visitors and organized summer activities.
