2M Group

2M Group of Companies is a UK-headquartered international group of branded chemical distribution and related chemical services companies. Its portfolio covers chemical distribution and services including samples management, storage and blending. 2M Holdings is described as a wholly owned private company headquartered in the UK with an international presence in Benelux, China, France, Germany, Italy, the Nordics, Poland and the USA, and the group exports to customers in over 90 countries. The group was established in 2004 and acquired Banner Chemicals in 2004.

2M Group of Companies was established in 2004. In 2004, 2M acquired Banner Chemicals. In 2006, Banner Chemicals acquired MP Storage. In 2007, 2M acquired Surfachem and SampleRite. In 2011, Banner Chemicals established Banner Chemicals Benelux and SampleRite established SampleRite China. In 2012, 2M acquired Packed Chlorine. In 2013, Surfachem acquired Detensio AS and rebranded it as Surfachem Nordic. In 2014, Banner Chemicals acquired production and marketing rights to the Pigmentan range, and Surfachem acquired Vitrine Brasil and rebranded it as Surfachem Brasil. In 2017, Banner Chemicals acquired CE-O2 Trockeneis and Stowlin Croftshaw. In 2018, 2M acquired French distributor Ingretech and German distributor FrankenChemie, rebranding the latter as Surfachem Deutschland. In 2020, 2M acquired the Evonik Milton Keynes site, establishing 2M Manufacturing; 2M was awarded The Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade; and CE-O2 Trockeneis acquired Air Liquide Germany's nationwide dry ice business. In 2022, 2M acquired Italian distributor Bregaglio. In 2023, 2M acquired natural consumer stain company Warwick Equest and rebranded it as 2M Equest; acquired Spanish manufacturer and distributor Prady Laboratories Fragrances & Cosmetics; and acquired Laurichem USA, establishing 2M Laurichem. In 2023, 2M also acquired Spanish distributor Chemir. In 2024, 2M Group of Companies established Surfachem USA and launched a Sustainable Packaging Business, and received The King's Award for Enterprise – International Trade 2024.
