1-2-3-4 Go! Records

1-2-3-4 Go! Records is an American independent record label and retail store specializing in punk rock and indie rock. The label was founded in August 2001 in Seattle, Washington, and relocated to Oakland, California in December 2003, where it has remained. In March 2008 the label opened a physical record store of the same name, focused largely on vinyl releases of punk rock, indie rock, garage rock and a variety of related genres. The store also hosts in-store performances and monthly art shows; Frank Portman of The Mr. T Experience has performed there. The label's releases are distributed exclusively by No Idea Records, and its roster has included artists such as Nobunny, The Cute Lepers, The Sandwitches, The Horde, The Sainte Catherines, Off With Their Heads, Lori McKenna, and Shannon and the Clams. Since opening the retail store, 1-2-3-4 Go! Records has won four East Bay Express "Best of the East Bay" awards, including "Best Punk Recording" in 2009 and "Best New Business" in 2008. The Oakland shop, located at 420 40th Street, operates with a mix of appointment-only and open-to-the-public hours, and participates in Record Store Day with special hours, free posters, and promotional totes. Leftover inventory is sold through the online shop at 1234gorecords.shop, which ships worldwide and offers free domestic shipping on orders over $75. The business remains a private, independent operation.
