MUBI

MUBI (木筆家) is a Taiwanese craft brand that designs and sells writing instruments and related wooden accessories, with a strong emphasis on Taiwanese hinoki cypress (台灣檜木). Its product line, as presented on its official website, ranges from everyday ballpoint and gel pens to fountain pens, brush-style pens, and higher-priced signed commemorative pens, often paired with wooden pen boxes. The brand positions itself around natural wood materials, local Taiwanese timber, and craft-oriented gift and collectible items. The catalogue visible on mubi.tw includes items such as the Taiwanese Hinoki Ballpoint Pen (台灣檜木原子筆), Taiwanese Hinoki Gel Pen (台灣檜木鋼珠筆), Taiwanese Hinoki Fountain Pen (台灣檜木鋼筆), a Taiwanese Hinoki brush-style pen (台灣檜木鋼筆式毛筆), a Taiwanese Hinoki neutral pen (台灣檜木中性筆), and a portable Taiwanese Hinoki ballpoint pen with a touchscreen stylus tip. Prices shown on the site range from a few hundred New Taiwan dollars for small items to NT$16,800 for a limited collaborative signed pen. The brand also offers wooden pen boxes, including a Taiwanese Hinoki window-pattern pen box, and novelty items such as an eternal branch pen and a decorative black pig figure. A notable feature of the brand's recent catalogue is a collaboration with 浩天宮 (Haotian Temple), producing co-branded blessing items: a signed pen set titled 祥雲瑞氣, a blessing ingot, and a blessing ballpoint pen. This collaboration links the brand's wooden writing instruments to Taiwanese temple culture and auspicious gifting. MUBI appears to operate primarily as a direct-to-consumer online shop through its own website, with product listings, pre-order items, and sold-out stock indicated on the homepage. The brand is described in seed material as a Taiwanese craft brand (臺灣工藝品牌). No public information in the supplied evidence identifies its founder, founding year, ownership structure, or headquarters city, so those details are left unspecified here.

The supplied evidence does not include a dated corporate history for MUBI (木筆家). What can be established from the official website is the brand's current commercial identity and product range. MUBI presents itself as a Taiwanese craft brand (臺灣工藝品牌) whose catalogue centres on writing instruments made from Taiwanese hinoki cypress. Its online shop lists a mix of everyday and premium pens, wooden pen boxes, and small decorative or novelty objects. A visible development in the brand's recent catalogue is a collaboration with 浩天宮 (Haotian Temple), which produced co-branded blessing products: a signed pen set called 祥雲瑞氣, a blessing ingot, and a blessing ballpoint pen. This suggests the brand has moved toward temple-culture and auspicious-gift collaborations alongside its standard wooden pen lines. Because no founding date, founder, ownership, or headquarters city is provided in the evidence, the history section is limited to what the official product listings support. Further historical detail would require additional sources.
