Overview

Tsit Wing Coffee (捷榮咖啡) is a Hong Kong coffee and tea brand and the flagship operating identity of Tsit Wing Group, a food and beverage supply group founded in 1932. The business began as a trading wholesaler of coffee and black tea and grew into one of Hong Kong's most important suppliers to the catering trade. Its parent, Tsit Wing International Holdings Limited (捷榮國際控股有限公司), was incorporated in 2000, listed on the Singapore Exchange Main Board in 2001, privatised and delisted from SGX in 2013, and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board in 2018 under stock code 02119.HK. The company describes itself as a "one-stop integrated catering service provider" (一站式綜合餐飲服務供應商). It supplies coffee, black tea, dairy products, sugar, instant beverages, frozen prepared foods and related products, and it also distributes coffee machines, tea brewing machines and accessories. Beyond products, Tsit Wing provides catering planning services covering the coffee and tea procurement, processing and distribution value chain, including sales, marketing, maintenance, logistics and customer service. Its logistics system offers delivery within 24 hours to a broad Hong Kong customer base, and it operates a 24-hour coffee machine maintenance support line. Tsit Wing's customer base has historically included cha chaan tengs (Hong Kong-style cafes), restaurants, hotels and chains such as McCafe, and the company has reported a very high share of Hong Kong's coffee and black tea supply market. It has expanded into the Greater China region, with operations and production in Zhuhai and Dongguan, and it also runs the Tsit Wing Coffee Academy (捷榮品味咖啡學院), established in 2016, for barista and catering training. The group's brand portfolio includes its own beverage lines such as Supreme, the Instant series, 捷榮茶作系列 and Tarza, alongside agency brands it represents in Hong Kong and Macau, notably the French syrup brand Monin and the global tea brand Lipton. Tsit Wing has been recognised with a number of Hong Kong quality and brand awards, including the Hong Kong Q-Mark, Superbrand status and the Hong Kong Top Brand awards. It has also served as a designated supplier for major events, including the 2008 Beijing Olympics (coffee and tea) and the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. The group is led by Chairman and CEO Peter Wong (黃達堂), who joined the group in 1978 and has been a director since 2000.

The company acquired its own factory premises on Beech Street in Kowloon in 1963 for coffee roasting and packaging. In 1978, Peter Wong (黃達堂) joined the group, and in 1980 the group purchased premises in the Kwai Tak Industrial Centre in Kwai Chung, New Territories, for production and as its headquarters. In 1982, it adopted a computerised coffee processing plant and machinery from the United States. In 1994, Zhuhai Tsit Wing Food Company Limited was established. In 2013, the company was privatised and delisted from the Singapore Exchange, and Ho Sun Trading Limited was incorporated to acquire the business and assets of Australia Gold Property Limited as a marker for entering the frozen food business. In 2015, the group began importing frozen prepared foods, further expanding its food market business. In 2016, it founded the Tsit Wing Coffee Academy. In 2017, the company entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with NH Foods Limited. In 2018, through a strategic initiative with F&N, Tsit Wing officially listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code 02119.HK), and it received the "Hong Kong Outstanding Brand" award in the 2018 Hong Kong Top Brand Awards. Over more than 90 years, Tsit Wing has developed from a coffee and tea trading wholesaler into a Greater China food and beverage service provider. Its Chinese Wikipedia entry notes that its coffee and black tea business has held a market share in Hong Kong of over 80%, supplying cha chaan tengs, McCafe and hotels such as Harbour Plaza. The group reported full-year revenue of HK$772 million in 2013.
