Leather shoes, down jackets fail quality checks and recalled; subsidiary suspended from military procurement eligibility
In 2020, Baoxiniao men's leather shoes were cited by the State Administration for Market Regulation for failing color fastness to rubbing of the lining and insole, and failed retest; in 2025, HAZZYS women's down jackets produced by subsidiary Shanghai Dirui were recalled 297 units due to excessive alkylphenol and its polyoxyethylene ether content, and media said no public announcement was made. Reports in 2026 said a Baoxiniao subsidiary was suspended from all military procurement eligibility for breach after winning a bid. Product recall; suspended from military procurement eligibility.
