Overview

Huafon Chemical is the listed core entity of Huafon Group, a Chinese new-materials conglomerate founded in 1991 and headquartered in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. The group began as a small plastics factory and grew into a leading global manufacturer of polyurethane products and materials. Huafon Chemical itself was established as Zhejiang Huafon Spandex Co., Ltd., and became the first private enterprise in China to produce polyurethane elastic fiber (spandex). It was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange SME Board, making it Wenzhou's first privately owned domestic listed company and the first spandex company in China to go public. The company later changed its name to Huafon Chemical. Huafon Chemical operates within Huafon Group's broader portfolio, which spans polyurethane materials, polyamide materials, aluminum materials, degradable materials, and bio-based materials. Its product lines include polyester polyols, polyurethane systems, polyurethane resins, spandex filament, microfiber materials, and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The group also produces cyclohexanone, adipic acid, adiponitrile, hexamethylenediamine, and nylon 66 through its polyamide chain, as well as aluminum materials for automotive heat exchange systems and new energy vehicle battery components. Huafon Group has three A-share listed companies, seven national manufacturing single champions, and one global lighthouse factory. Its products are sold in more than 100 countries and regions, and it employs over 20,000 people worldwide. Huafon Chemical benefits from Huafon Group's integrated industrial chain and innovation focus. The group has invested in R&D and digital intelligence, and its Chongqing spandex subsidiary was recognized as a global lighthouse factory, the first in the global chemical fiber industry. The company's mission, "New Materials New Life," reflects its commitment to high-end, digital, low-carbon, and international development. Huafon Chemical continues to expand its product applications in sports and leisure, home and daily use, medical and health, automotive and transportation, clean energy, and the digital economy.
