SBS My Home Center

SBS My Home Center Co., Ltd. (SBSマイホームセンター株式会社) is a Japanese company that operates Shizuoka Prefecture's largest comprehensive housing exhibition center, a venue where consumers can tour model homes from multiple home builders in one place. The company is headquartered in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and is part of the SBS (Shizuoka Broadcasting System) group. Its core business is the operation of six exhibition sites across the prefecture — Gotemba, Mishima, Fuji, Shizuoka, Fujieda, and Hamamatsu — which together display approximately 130 model homes from about 40 housing companies (as of June 2026). The center positions itself as the first stop for people considering building or buying a home in Shizuoka, offering comparison of builders, land-search support, financing consultations, and family-oriented events. The company traces its origins to 1971, when Shizuoka Shimbun opened the Shizuoka My Home Center as part of its third business division. Additional sites followed in Hamamatsu (1972), Mishima (1973), Fuji (1974), and Kakegawa (1980). In 1984 all sites were renamed SBS My Home Center. The current corporate entity, SBS My Home Center Co., Ltd., was established in August 1987. Over more than 50 years, the business has grown from an initial exhibition of 7 companies and 9 model homes into one of Japan's larger comprehensive housing exhibition centers. Beyond the exhibition business, SBS My Home Center operates a remodeling service (SBS Reform Plaza) and consultation services, including a housing consultation desk (SBS Sumai no Sodankuchi Taterura) and a marriage consultation service (MatchingBASE). The company's vision is expressed as "Smile for your life — connecting and expanding people's thoughts," and it aims to contribute to community building in Shizuoka. Its representative director and president is Hiroyuki Kawabata. The company holds a real estate transaction license (Shizuoka Prefecture Governor (1) No. 15151) and has capital of 10,000 thousand yen.

The business that became SBS My Home Center began in 1971, when Shizuoka Shimbun opened the Shizuoka My Home Center as part of its third business division; this site is now the SBS My Home Center Shizuoka exhibition site. In 1972, the Hamamatsu My Home Center opened (later known as SBS My Home Center Hamamatsu Futamata site, closed in 2014). The Mishima My Home Center opened in 1973 (now SBS My Home Center Mishima site), and the Fuji My Home Center opened in 1974 (closed in 1997 due to relocation). In 1980, the Kakegawa My Home Center opened (now SBS My Home Center Kakegawa site). In 1981, a tree-planting event commemorated the 10th anniversary of SBS My Home Center at Hiromi Park in Fuji City. In 1984, all exhibition sites were renamed SBS My Home Center. The current company, SBS My Home Center Co., Ltd., was established in August 1987. Over the decades, the center expanded to six sites across Shizuoka Prefecture, displaying about 130 model homes from roughly 40 housing companies. The company has also diversified into remodeling services (SBS Reform Plaza) and consultation services, including a housing consultation desk and a marriage consultation service (MatchingBASE). As of 2026, it continues to operate as a major regional housing exhibition center, with a vision of "Smile for your life — connecting and expanding people's thoughts."
