History
Zhongyuan Oilfield was discovered in 1975 and put into development in 1979. In March 1982, Zhongyuan Petroleum Exploration Bureau was established. In January 2000, it was restructured into listed (Zhongyuan Oilfield Branch) and non-listed (Zhongyuan Petroleum Exploration Bureau) parts. In November 2017, Zhongyuan Petroleum Exploration Bureau underwent corporatization reform and was renamed Zhongyuan Petroleum Exploration Bureau Co., Ltd. Since 2020, it has fully implemented the three-year action for deepening reform of state-owned enterprises, vigorously promoted the effective embedding of Party leadership into corporate governance, continuously deepened the construction of the oil company system and mechanism, accelerated the integrated and large-scale development of specialized businesses, made the oil and gas main business more streamlined and efficient, systematically integrated specialized businesses, and initially formed a modern oil company management model under informationized conditions. It has built three oil and gas production bases: the Dongpu old area, the northeastern Sichuan work area, and the Inner Mongolia exploration area.
