Shiwei Bakery (世唯烘焙坊), also marketed as Sweet Way (世唯囍餅), is a Taiwanese bakery brand operated by Shiwei Food Co., Ltd. The company was founded in 1993 by brothers Jiang Qingxiong and Jiang Qingming, with its headquarters in Yunlin County, Taiwan. It is best known for wedding cakes (囍餅) that combine traditional Chinese-style large cakes with French-style handmade pastries, as well as local souvenir products, cakes, and bread. The brand traces its retail history to 1991, when the first store opened in Dalin Township, Chiayi County. Over the following decades it expanded across Yunlin County with stores in Dounan, Huwei, and Douliu, and in 2004 established a central factory in the Xiaodong Industrial Zone in Dounan Township. The company has invested in German and French imported baking equipment and has trained baking talent in-house. Shiwei Bakery positions itself around the slogan "Because of you, Shiwei has gifts" (因為有你·世唯有禮) and describes making every cake with the sincerity of marrying off a daughter. Shiwei Bakery's history begins with the opening of its first store in 1991 in Dalin Township, Chiayi County. The operating company, Shiwei Food Co., Ltd., was formally established in 1993 by brothers Jiang Qingxiong and Jiang Qingming, with headquarters in Yunlin County. The brand expanded steadily through southern Taiwan: a second store opened in Dounan Township, Yunlin County in 1995; a third in Huwei (Yuandian) in 1997; a fourth in Huwei (Linsen) in 1998; and a fifth in Douliu in 1999. In 2004, the company established a central factory in the Xiaodong Industrial Zone in Dounan Township, allowing for greater production capacity and quality control. It subsequently invested in German and French imported baking machinery and developed in-house baking talent. In 2005, a sixth store—the Douliu flagship—opened. The following year, 2006, brought Economic Ministry GSP certification. Recognition followed in the 2010s. In 2011–2012, Shiwei was certified as a top brand among the Top 100 Souvenirs. In 2012, it received the annual Taiwan Top 100 Souvenir Award. In 2013, it passed the Yunlin County Health Bureau's catering hygiene grading evaluation at the excellent level. In 2014, its six stores passed the Economic Ministry's GSP service certification; it won the Silver Award in the Economic Ministry Industrial Bureau's Happiness Snack competition for Chiayi County; and it was named one of Yunlin County's Top 10 Souvenirs. It repeated the Yunlin Top 10 Souvenir and Famous Store awards in 2015 and 2017. In 2018, a seventh store opened at the Yunlin High-Speed Rail station. In 2019 and 2020, it received the Yunlin Good Product Excellence Award. Throughout its history, Shiwei Bakery has emphasized wedding cakes that blend traditional Chinese large cakes with French handmade pastries, marketed under the slogan "Because of you, Shiwei has gifts." The company also engages in public welfare activities and continues to develop local Yunlin specialty products.
