Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange

Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange (SHPGX) is an energy trading platform established under the direct guidance of the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, and approved by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It was registered in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone on March 4, 2015, began trial operation on July 1, 2015, and officially launched on November 26, 2016. It is composed of ten shareholder units and has registered capital of 1 billion yuan, structured as a limited liability company (domestic joint venture). The exchange operates a membership system and conducts spot and forward trading of energy products including natural gas, unconventional natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and petroleum, while providing trading, delivery, settlement, technology, credit, finance, information, venue, and facility services.
