History

The first issue of the all-Ukrainian academic journal 'Siverianskyi Litopys' was published in February 1995. The journal was founded by the Chernihiv regional 'Prosvita' society named after Taras Shevchenko. Since 1996, the Chernihiv Regional State Administration has allocated funds for its publication. According to a resolution of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine, from 1998 the journal was included in the list of scientific publications whose articles count toward dissertation results in history, philosophy, philology, and economics. From that time, Chernihiv State Pedagogical University named after T. G. According to agreements, they also provided financial support to the editorial board. After a series of reorganizations, the founders became Chernihiv National Pedagogical University named after T. G. Shevchenko, the All-Ukrainian 'Prosvita' society named after Taras Shevchenko, and the M. S.
