ÖGLA

ÖGLA — the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Landschaftsarchitektur — is the professional association and independent professional representation of landscape architects working in Austria. It functions as a Fachverband (specialist association) and Berufsvertretung (professional representation), serving as the collective voice and network for the landscape architecture profession in the country. Its work centres on representing members' professional interests, fostering exchange within the discipline, and communicating landscape architecture to a wider public. The association is based at the HAUS DER LANDSCHAFT in Vienna, at Stumpergasse 41/1 in the 1060 district. The HAUS DER LANDSCHAFT is both the association's physical location and an open platform for exchange and knowledge transfer. Through the online platform www.hausderlandschaft.at, current activities, events and information from ÖGLA and its partners are published, extending the association's reach beyond its members to the broader public and partner organisations. ÖGLA maintains an office team led by Büroleitung (office management) Rosa Schaberl, with Flora Schuster as Assistenz (assistant). The secretariat can be reached at sekretariat@oegla.at and by telephone. The association communicates through its website oegla.at and social media channels including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. As a professional body rather than a commercial enterprise, ÖGLA's "offerings" are membership services, professional representation, events, networking and public communication on behalf of Austrian landscape architects. It operates in Austria and is an independent association, not a subsidiary of a larger corporate group.
