    Kiwi Paora handling controversy

Footage showed visitors handling Paora, a kiwi, and exposing the nocturnal bird to daylight. The incident prompted criticism in New Zealand and from conservation experts, and New Zealand’s Department of Conservation said it would raise concerns with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Zoo Miami apologized and said it would discontinue the practices shown.
