Quality and PR controversy over garlic-smashing knife breakage and executive's vegetable-cutting remarks

In July 2022, a consumer's Zhang Xiaoquan knife broke after being used to smash garlic, and the customer service response along with the general manager's earlier remarks about cutting vegetables in an interview sparked controversy. The brand acknowledged that the customer service reply was inappropriate, apologized to the consumer and offered a replacement knife; the general manager explained the context of the video and apologized, and proposed a replacement arrangement for broken knives.
