    Former chairman Yan Ping investigated and expelled from the Party over "family-style" corruption

    Yan Ping, former deputy Party secretary and chairman of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group, was placed under review and investigation in July 2025 and expelled from the Party in February 2026. The notice said he was suspected of embezzlement, accepting bribes and offering bribes, and of seeking benefits for others in project cooperation, product purchasing and sales, and personnel appointments, and that he engaged in "family-style" corruption. The case was transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution.
