Automotive component price-fixing case
The U.S. Department of Justice announced that Yazaki and Denso had participated in a price-fixing and component-allocation conspiracy involving automotive manufacturers including Toyota and Honda. The investigation covered conduct extending between the United States and Japan. Yazaki agreed to pay a US$470 million fine, and four Yazaki executives were sentenced to prison and assessed individual fines.
