Xopero was founded in 2009. In 2014-2017, the company expanded internationally and established a partner network. In 2021, GitProtect, a backup for DevOps Stack, launched, and Xopero Unified Protection (XUP) backup appliance was launched. In 2024, Warsaw Equity Group invested in Xopero, and the company had 100+ specialists across 6 offices. In 2025, SphereCyberX technology and Xopero Sphere Recovery Drive were launched. In 2026, Xopero GitProtect GmbH was founded, and global expansion and talent growth continued.
