Court rules in Baidu's favor in unfair competition case

The court found that Zile Company’s use of the “Xiaodu” and “xiaodu xiaodu” voice commands in the Du Yaya learning machine constituted unfair competition against Baidu Online, and ordered it to eliminate the impact and compensate Baidu Online for RMB 500,000 in economic losses and RMB 50,000 in reasonable expenses. The report noted that it remains unclear whether either party will appeal.
