Refusal to air the O. J. Simpson interview special
WWCP declined to broadcast Fox's planned two-night O. J. Simpson interview special, stating that it was inappropriate for Simpson to profit from his notoriety. The program was withdrawn by Fox before its scheduled transmission. The station had planned substitute public-service programming, including a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital special and a locally produced domestic-violence program.
