WSRE Foundation–Pensacola State College governance dispute
After Pensacola State College voted to end WSRE's PBS affiliation and sever its formal relationship with the WSRE Foundation, the college sought dissolution of the foundation and transfer of its assets. The foundation refused and filed a federal lawsuit alleging that the college was improperly attempting to control funds supporting the station and restrict the foundation's speech. The dispute concerned institutional governance, public-broadcasting support, and control of charitable assets.
