Worn Again

Worn Again is a company that develops scalable, profitable technologies to transform the current textile recycling system. It was founded in 2005 and has evolved from textile upcycling to chemical recycling solutions. The company has received investment from H&M and Kering, and is currently building a Textile-to-Fibre Accelerator recycling plant.

Worn Again was founded in 2005, entering the textile upcycling market. In 2012, the company tested dissolution of textiles at laboratory scale. In 2013, supported by H&M and Kering, the company pivoted to focus on technology development. In 2017, Worn Again raised £1 million to move out of the laboratory phase. In 2019, a pilot plant was started, capable of processing 5kg batches of textiles. In 2022, the company raised £30 million to scale its technology. In 2025, construction of a Textile-to-Fibre Accelerator recycling plant began, with the first production module to be delivered and start commissioning in Q4 2025.
