    1988 World Series broadcast intrusion

During the October 15, 1988 broadcast of Game 1 of the World Series, approximately thirty seconds of WMGT's transmission was replaced by a scene from a black-and-white pornographic film, although the game's audio continued. The station dismissed an unidentified technician and management said the incident appeared accidental while it conducted an investigation. Viewer complaints were reported after the interruption.
