Bribery and Bulgarian-driver employment case
CEO Thomas Betz was convicted and sentenced to five years in prison in a case involving bribery of Georgian and Azerbaijani officials. The reported case also concerned the use of underpaid Bulgarian drivers, allegations that drivers were often uninsured, and claims that Bulgarian employees were not declared to German authorities. Time already spent in custody during the trial was deducted from the sentence.
