Interruption of FIFA World Cup final coverage
WENY was criticized after breaking away from the final minutes of the 2014 FIFA World Cup final to broadcast a tornado warning affecting the region. The episode illustrates the tension between live network programming and local public-safety alerts, though the cited material does not document a formal regulatory finding.
