Criticism of dating-profile and message ghostwriting
VIDA Select has been criticized because employees may create profiles and write conversations in a client’s voice, potentially causing matches to believe they are communicating directly with the client. Commentators have described the practice as a form of misrepresentation and compared it with the Cyrano de Bergerac model of outsourced romantic communication.
