Wage and hour arbitration claim
Former employee Robert Stone alleged that Universal Protection Service failed to pay overtime for all hours worked and did not meet minimum-wage requirements. The claim also alleged meal- and rest-period violations under California and federal law. The company denied the allegations but agreed to a $30 million settlement to avoid continued litigation costs; preliminary approval was granted in November 2017.
