Forced Aryanization and expropriation of the Ullstein family
After the Nazi seizure of power, authorities dispossessed the Jewish Ullstein family and forced the sale of its publishing enterprise for a reported six million marks against a stated valuation of sixty million marks. The business was subsequently integrated into the Nazi-controlled publishing system.
