Fraudulent use of Ukash codes
Fraudsters reportedly used fake marketplace listings, advance-fee offers and ransomware to persuade victims to obtain and disclose Ukash codes. Because the codes could be spent by whoever possessed them, victims could lose the prepaid value after sharing them. Ukash responded with warnings that codes should be guarded like cash and never sent to strangers by email or telephone.
