Antisemitic carol broadcast in Christmas program
On 5 December 2013, TVR 3 aired a Christmas program titled “Choose Green” containing a performance by the Dor Transilvan Ensemble with antisemitic lyrics. TVR 3 said it had not selected the carol and attributed the selection and compilation of the songs to the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture. The ensemble’s artistic director resigned at the request of the Cluj County Council president, while continuing to reject the characterization of the repertoire as antisemitic.
