独立审查认定Travelodge在性侵案中“在每个环节”失职

由御用大律师Paul Greaney KC主持的独立审查于2026年10月1日公布，认定2022年12月一名男子谎称是受害者男友并从前台取得房卡后，在Travelodge梅登黑德酒店对一名女性实施性侵，Travelodge对该受害者“在每个环节”都“根本性失职”。审查结论称该连锁酒店当时的安全政策“不适合保障客人安全”，2026年夏季近十分之一的Travelodge酒店仍有客房闯入报告，且没有针对女性暴力的政策，并提出38项建议（包括取房卡需出示身份证件）。审查肯定Travelodge自3月以来作出的改变，临时首席执行官Ray Reidy毫无保留地道歉，称过去六个月已取得重大进展但仍需继续改进。
