Incomplete disclosure of airfare surcharges
The United States Department of Transportation found that Travelocity's flexible-date airfare tool did not always include carrier-imposed fuel surcharges in advertised international fares. The agency also found that a paper-ticket delivery fee could be revealed only near the end of the purchase process. Travelocity was fined $180,000.

A discount code intended for National Federation of the Blind conference attendees was redistributed publicly after an erroneous retweet. Travelocity cancelled bookings made by ineligible users, prompting widespread complaints from affected customers and travel commentators.
