Court orders ICBC branch to compensate investment customer
Ruling
The Beijing No. 2 Intermediate People's Court found that the bank branch had failed to adequately explain and match the financial product to the customer's risk profile, and ordered it to compensate Wang 70,000 yuan. The court also said market fluctuations were the direct cause of the investment loss and that Wang bore some responsibility.
