Smart-TV usage-data privacy investigation in the Netherlands
The Dutch Data Protection Authority found that TP Vision could monitor aspects of Philips smart-TV use through cookies and log files without sufficiently clear customer information or prior permission. The authority reported that the practices did not conform to Dutch law. TP Vision said it would revise its data-handling practices.
