Toptal sues Andela over alleged trade-secret theft
Lawsuit filed
Toptal filed a lawsuit against Andela and several former Toptal employees, alleging trade-secret theft, breach of agreements, interference with contract and unfair competition. The allegations are claims in the lawsuit, not findings of liability. Andela’s CEO called the suit baseless and said the company would defend itself.

Toptal — a marketplace for filling engineering and other tech roles with freelance, remote workers — has filed a lawsuit against direct competitor Andela and several of its employees, alleging the theft of trade secrets in pursuit of “a perfect clone of its business”, according to the complaint.
