Ohio Attorney General sues The Metal Roof Company over substandard roofing work and consumer losses
Lawsuit filed
Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson filed a lawsuit in Franklin County Common Pleas Court against The Metal Roof Company and its owner Danile Toland. The suit alleges that the company performed substandard and defective roofing work, failed to respond when consumers reported roof problems, and in one case accepted payment for a new roof without beginning the project. Five consumers reported combined losses of more than $60,000. The attorney general's office is asking other consumers with similar problems to come forward.
