Dispute over the Brookfield asset sale
ITC objected to aspects of the sale of selected Leela hotel assets to Brookfield, raising concerns about the transaction process, alleged misappropriation of funds and the interests of minority shareholders. The Securities Appellate Tribunal rejected ITC’s petition in September 2019, allowing the transaction to proceed.
