    Controversial reception of Freaks

Freaks, featuring Harry and Daisy Earles and a brief appearance by Tiny, was widely regarded at release as disturbing and exploitative. It was cut substantially in the United States, banned in England, and condemned in Canada. The film's later cult reputation has not removed the ethical controversy surrounding its portrayal of performers with physical differences.
