Teleamazonas faced proceedings over several broadcasts, including reports about bullfighting, alleged electoral data processing, PDVSA operations on Puná Island, and a leaked political recording. The PDVSA-related case resulted in a 72-hour shutdown in December 2009. A court later ruled that the closure violated constitutional procedures.
