At a press conference, TBS president Masamine Tatsutani stated that the drama VIVANT had no intention of showing hostility toward or belittling any particular country, nor of hurting the feelings of people in the relevant countries. He acknowledged that the broadcaster had received audience complaints regarding possible hostility toward a particular country and the intensity of the violence depicted, and said that TBS would take these complaints seriously.
