Chicago couple sues Taylor Farms over alleged cyclospora illness linked to lettuce
A Chicago couple filed a federal lawsuit against Taylor Farms California and Taylor Fresh Foods, alleging that contaminated lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms caused the husband to contract cyclospora after eating at a Taco Bell on West Belmont Avenue in July. The lawsuit seeks more than $75,000 in damages.

Chicago couple sues Taylor Farms over cyclospora-linked lettuce
Alonso Zaragoza and Jadhira Sanchez filed a federal lawsuit against Taylor Farms California and Taylor Fresh Foods Inc., alleging the companies grew, processed and distributed shredded iceberg lettuce contaminated with cyclospora that sickened Zaragoza after he ate a Taco Bell chalupa. It is believed to be the first lawsuit filed in Illinois related to this year's large cyclospora outbreak.
