Taiho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established in 1963 with capital of 25 million yen. In 1964, the Naruto Plant was completed in Tokushima Prefecture and 'Chovita Drink' was launched. In 1969, a contract was signed with the All-Soviet Pharmaceutical Import-Export Corporation for the introduction of 'Futraful'. In 1976, a business partnership was formed with Nichiban Co., Ltd. In 1979, 'Solmac' was launched. In 1986, the head office was moved to Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
