Protest over defense-industry supply-chain links
Activists protested outside Syensqo’s Brussels headquarters over the company’s connection to production of a component for the Hermes 450 unmanned aerial vehicle. The aircraft model was used by Israel in the April 1, 2024 attack that killed World Central Kitchen humanitarian workers in Gaza. Syensqo said that it participates in the defense-industry value chain but does not manufacture weapons.
