Bournemouth Crown Court fined Sunseeker £358,760 over 11 illegal imports of teak from Myanmar. The imports breached United Kingdom timber regulations, which regulate the placing of illegally harvested timber on the market.

German yacht-tour collision and visibility investigation
A yacht participating in a Sunseeker-organized tour struck a surfer in the Bay of Lübeck, severely injuring him. A German maritime investigation reported significant deficiencies in horizontal all-round visibility at the helm of the Predator 74 line and stated that the arrangement did not meet the cited DIN EN ISO visibility standard. The skipper received a suspended prison sentence and was ordered to pay damages.
